UK-Used Laptop Grades Explained (A, B, C)
Updated 13 Oct 2026
Why grades matter
Two UK-used laptops with the same specs can look very different. Our grades tell you how it looks; every graded laptop is fully tested to work properly.
Grade A — like new
Hardly any signs of use. Screen, keyboard and body look excellent. Best if you want a "new-looking" laptop at a used price.
Grade B — light signs of use
Small, light scratches or marks on the body that you notice up close. Screen and keyboard in great condition. The best value for most buyers.
Grade C — visible wear
Noticeable scratches, scuffs or keyboard shine, but works perfectly. Great when performance matters more than looks.
Battery health
Where we show battery health, it's the battery's current capacity compared with new. 80%+ is very good for a used laptop.
